Cheltenham Festival Racecourse – Annual Spectacular Event

Cheltenham Festival Racecourse is at the very heart of mostly every characteristic in jump racing. It is the race in which the horse owners, instructors, jockeys, breeders and stable employees wish to have champions. The racecourse is held annually in March at Prestbury Park close to Cheltenham, Gloucestershire in England. 

There will be 28 races spread evenly over four extraordinary days, with the first race being held at 1.30pm and last one at 5.30 pm. Prizes awarded in this event exceed £4.5 million.

The Cheltenham gates will open on Tuesday 10th March for Day One which is also familiar as Champion Day. This very well known event will be fully packed with horse racing enthusiasts at 1.30pm. This is the big explosion day, better known as St Patrick’s Day and will be held on the 12 March. This day will be filled with Irish glamour while the Ryanair Chase and Paddy Power Stayer’s Hurdle taking over as main events of the day. Price wins for both races is £350k and £325k respectively.

Day four

An approximate 70,000 attendees on this day, well known as the Gold Cup Day. This is the final day of the Cheltenham Festival and will be held on Friday 13th March. The Cheltenham festival main event is of course The Magners Cheltenham Gold Cup Steeple Chase. This race is featured in this last day of the festival and has the largest most prestigious prize win of £625k. It is well known among racegoers that history is created on the Gold Cup Day as it was witnessed in 2019. It was the year in which Willie Mullins has finally experienced a historical win of the Magners Cheltenham Gold Cup. This was surely a first to the legendary Irish trainer who won mostly every big prize in Ireland together with other major ones in UK. The racehorse that won was Al Boum Photo under Paul Townend representing the Irish team.
